
Professor Rob Poole

Rob Poole was a community psychiatrist in central Liverpool and, later, North Wales for 21 years, before becoming a clinical academic in 2009. He is a Professor of Social Psychiatry at Bangor University, where he founded the Centre for Mental Health and Society with Professor Catherine Robinson.
His research interests all centre on concern over the adverse effect social organisation has on mental health. He was awarded the college's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017.
