PIPSIG Conference | Private and Independent Practice: now and into the future

Event Information

The world is moving fast! How can we, as independent practitioners, stay current and in touch with new developments?

Please join us for our summer conference when we'll hear from expert colleagues across a range of present and near future preoccupations. Our aim is to help you feel more confident about your current practice, and excited and eager about how your practice could develop over the next few years.

From ADHD assessments, remote working and the use of AI, to more novel and bespoke treatment regimes including tDCS and pharmacogenomics, we have put together a varied programme with something for everyone!

The speakers for the day are:

  • Dr David Rigby - Consultant psychiatrist and cofounder of Digital SIG RCPsych - Remote Possibilities: A Guide to online working in the private and independent sector
  • Dr Lesa Wright - Consultant psychiatrist and Chief AI Officer at Psychiatry UK - A dangerous gift: How to handle AI with care

Dr Wright is the Chief AI Officer and a practicing consultant psychiatrist at Psychiatry UK, the largest provider of specialist online mental health services in the UK. His role involves leading a dynamic data science team in developing tools to increase clinical and administrative efficiency as well as safety along the care pathway.

Prior to this role, he led the scaling of Psychiatry UK’s technology to support over 150,000 patients as its Chief Technology Officer.
  • Dr Danny Allen - Consultant psychiatrist - Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation as adjunctive treatment for depression, speaking with Jasmin Samuel
