Laura-Louise Arundell

Senior Researcher

Laura-Louise has worked at the NCCMH since 2015 where she began as a research assistant, then as a lead researcher and developer. Laura-Louise is now a senior researcher in the team. Laura-Louise has led on a range of research projects, including: the Advancing Mental Health Equality Resource; Delivering Greener, More Sustainable and Net Zero Mental Health Care Guidance and Recommendations; and Ethnic Inequalities in Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT). Laura-Louise co-founded the Equality Advisory Group (EAG) at the NCCMH and facilitates the group’s meetings and research project contributions.

Laura-Louise completed her PhD in Clinical, Educational and Health Psychology at UCL in 2024. Her research investigated psychological treatment for women from minoritised ethnic communities and how to improve treatment outcomes.

Laura-Louise has a passion for addressing mental health inequalities and social inequities, particularly those faced by minoritised ethnic communities. Laura-Louise is a member of the African and Caribbean Forum and the Sexuality, Gender, Equality and Inclusion Forum at the RCPsych.
