Compassionate and Relational Care

We’re delighted to share an update on the Compassionate and Relational Care Learning Programme, which aims to supports health and care professionals to embed compassion at the heart of their work.

We’re pleased to confirm that the Dialogical Practice module – originally scheduled for April 2025 – will now take place on 20-21 April 2026, led by Dr Russell Razzaque.

This multi-module programme has been developed by international experts and Experts by Lived Experience and explores the role of relational practice in improving care experiences and outcomes – for people using services, their families and carers, and the workforce.

The programme brings together individuals from across health and social care to learn, reflect and build practical skills and each module blends evidence-based approaches with space for experiential learning and shared insight.

Each module is stand-alone and has its roots in a different therapeutic approach. There will be three initial modules between September 2025 and April 2026.

The next modules in the programme are:

  • 4-5 September 2025 – Compassion Focused Therapy, led by Dr Chrissy Jayarajah
  • 15-16 December 2025 – Mindfulness, led by Dr Florian Ruths

Places are limited so would advise to book early to avoid disappointment. The deadline to book your place on all three modules for a discounted rate is 14 August, however you will still be able to book onto Mindfulness and Dialogical Practice following this date.
